Session rates

Insurance and reimbursement

We don’t work with insurance companies, because they often limit or interfere with care. Some clients receive partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapy: on request, we’ll send a superbill (an itemized receipt) at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company.

How to check your out-of-network benefits

Call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask:

• Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?
• What percentage of each session will be reimbursed?
• What is my deductible, and has it been met?
• How do I submit a superbill for therapy services?

You can mention you’ll be working with a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia who provides out-of-network therapy for men.

Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards. Your card is securely stored on file and charged automatically at the end of each session.

Cancellation policy

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. For true emergencies — illness, an accident, a sick child — we waive the fee. Because we work with busy professionals, work conflicts and last-minute scheduling issues aren’t considered emergencies: therapy is an investment, and for it to work, it has to be prioritized. Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice are charged the full session fee.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected costs of your care. If you’d like one, just ask and we’ll provide it.
